General instructions

Documents must be submitted on the day before the inspection date, no later than 16:00.

Documents must include: import permit application form, import statement, commercial invoice, and the import license issued by the Plant Protection and Inspection Services, original hygiene certificate or certificate of origin.

It should be verified that the shipment is ready to be inspected at the scheduled time and place. Otherwise, the inspector may postpone the inspection to another date.

To avoid pest spreading, the inspector from the Plant Protection and Inspection Services should be present at all inspections and the opening of the shipment, containers or ballets, etc.

The Jordanian transporter should not be allowed to move before having final import authorization.

It should be verified that the shipment is ready to be inspected at the scheduled time and place. Otherwise, the inspector may postpone the inspection to another date.

 

To prevent the spread of pests, the inspector from the Plant Protection and Inspection Services should be present at all inspections and the opening of the shipment, containers or ballets, etc.

 

The shipment may not be opened during the night except in cases where product quarantine is required.

General instructions:

  • Under the regulations of plant protection products (importing plants, plant products, pests and items subject to the 2009 Regulations), the import license must be displayed for all imported items loaded manually which might include plants and plant products, either for commercial or personal use.
  • The passenger should arrange his arrival date with the inspection staff before arriving to the country.
  • The Plant Protection and Inspection Services may confiscate and damage any imported plant products which violate its regulations.
